Persistence is a skill that many could develop through discipline. It is simply moving forward despite disappointments, rejection, and being misunderstood. At first others may think that you’re crazy as it hasn’t been done before but as you accomplish your goal, these same individuals will cheer you on as if they believed you would be successful all along. Persistence doesn’t fear rainy days or uncomfortable feelings, many times it welcomes them because, through that discipline is built.
There are a lot of things that we persistent in that we may be unaware of. For instance, you are persisting if you have a job. You do what you need to day in and day out to earn a paycheck from your place of employment so that you can keep the bills paid. Another area of persistence is maintaining exceptional health. This means you are being persistent in eating the right portion sized meals, exercising several times a week, and getting the right amount of sleep. Persistence is a skill that helps you fall in love with the journey toward the ideal success or goal being achieved.
